Pravãsa Events is led by husband and wife duo Nikita and Shivum Mistry. Having planned numerous weddings and events, as well as their own, they bring both professional expertise and lived experience to every celebration they curate. Together, they blend creativity and structure, emotion and precision, offering couples a balanced, deeply personal approach to wedding and event planning.
Nikita Parekh-Mistry
Pravãsa Events was founded by Nikita in 2024, though her love for celebration has always been part of who she is.
Proud of her Maharashtrian roots, Nikita grew up in a beautifully multicultural environment where Indian and English traditions blended seamlessly. Having attended Hindu, Sikh and Christian weddings from a young age, she developed a deep appreciation for the richness of culture, the emotion of ceremony and the quiet power of families coming together in love.
Weddings were never simply events to her. She has always loved love. The atmosphere, the anticipation, the traditions passed down through generations, and the way a single day can hold so much meaning. As she grew older, that admiration became involvement. She began organising intimate birthdays and family gatherings, later supporting friends with wedding events. What started as helping loved ones soon revealed a natural calling for thoughtful planning and beautifully curated celebrations.
Planning her own wedding was the defining moment. Experiencing the excitement alongside the pressure gave her a profound understanding of how important it is to have someone truly invested by your side. Pravãsa Events was created from that place of empathy and intention.
The name Pravãsa, rooted in her Maharashtrian heritage, translates to “journey.” It reflects the belief that every celebration is part of a larger story shaped by culture, connection and legacy.

Shivum Mistry
Shivum is the co-founder of Pravãsa Events and plays an integral role behind the scenes, ensuring each celebration unfolds with precision and ease.
With a background in project management, Shivum brings structure, logic and practical clarity to weddings and events. He has a natural ability to think methodically, transforming creative concepts into clear plans and seamlessly executed realities. Where vision meets logistics, he brings focus.
He genuinely values people and the couples he works with, understanding that every celebration represents a meaningful new chapter. His calm, grounded presence allows clients to feel reassured, knowing that every timeline, supplier and detail is being carefully managed.
Shivum thrives on coordination, aligning venues, caterers, décor and entertainment so that everything works in harmony. His favourite part of any wedding is the reception, when the formalities soften and couples, families and guests can truly relax and celebrate together. Watching that shift into pure joy is, for him, where the magic lies.

We are so glad we asked Nikita to plan our event. We had a vision for a creative shoot, with lots of colour, yet still keeping it chic and romantic and Nikita delivered with ease! As a company of private chefs, we have high standards for events, and Pravasa events surpassed all of them while planning a recent bachelorette party we catered. Their team's attention to detail and seamless coordination ensured that everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
